Events

This article explains how to register new events on the platform and how to prepare and use files for event import.

Things to know before starting

  • Custom events must be registered in the system before they can be used or imported.
  • Event imports are only supported for the Default Contact List, as the system is designed to work with a single primary list.
  • Contacts with a pre-existing Special Custom Source will be automatically assigned to it during the event assignment process.
  • Events and their properties are immutable, meaning they cannot be edited or modified once created.
  • Duplicate events will be saved in the Event Log if two identical events are imported; these entries cannot be deleted.
  • Custom events must be created within the designated section of the platform to be recognized.
  • Custom events enable defining and segmenting user groups based on existing event data and specific properties.

Step-by-step instructions

  • Navigate to the “Settings” page.

  • Press the "Events" button.

  • Click the “Add Event” button.

  • Enter the “Event” name.

  • Enter valid data into the input fields.

  • Select the Conversion checkbox if required.

  • Click the “Save” button.
