This article explains how to create and use contact sources and provides a detailed description of them.
Step-by-step instructions
Navigate to the “Settings” page.
Press the "Sources" button.
Click the “Add Source” button.
Enter Source name, Customer Source ID, CAC (customer acquisition cost), and currency.
Click the “Save” button.

Source’s details
- Direct - traffic generated when a user enters the website address directly into the browser bar, accesses bookmarked pages, or uses saved URLs.
- Organic search - the primary traffic channel where search engines display website pages as answers to specific user information queries.
- Paid search - traffic originating from paid advertisements displayed within search engine results for targeted search queries.
- Referral - visits originating from external websites that contain links pointing to your site.
- Social - traffic acquired via social networks, including links in community posts, paid advertisements, and influencer collaborations.
- Display - visits resulting from banners, videos, and audio advertisements placed on third-party websites through media networks.
- Email - a retention-focused source using newsletters to re-engage existing customers and encourage repeat visits.
- Other - traffic from various sources that web analytics systems cannot automatically categorize, such as marketplaces, coupon sites, price comparison systems, catalogs, and online magazines.
