Add contact manually to contact list
This article describes how to manually add contacts to a contact list and explains each available field.
Things to know before starting
- Automatic update of a contact's attributes if the provided userId, email, or phoneNumber matches an existing record in the list.
- Creation of a new contact in the system if no match is found for the provided attributes.
Step-by-step instructions
Select the appropriate domain from the drop-down menu in the lower-left corner if multiple domains are active.
Navigate to the "Audience" section.
Click the "Lists" button.
Click the "Add Contacts" button.
Select the “Add contact manually” section.
Fill in all input fields with valid contact data.
Check the checkbox to confirm permission to add these persons to the list, indicating that the contact's permission to use personal data has been obtained.
Click the “Add contact” button to finalize.

Contact fields
- firstName / lastName - optional display names for the recipient.
- email - a unique user identifier. Verification for syntax errors, missing information, unsupported characters, or extra spaces is required.
- phoneNumber - a unique user identifier. Use of the valid E.164 phone number format is required.
- userId - a unique identifier from the customer’s platform that enables contact manipulation based on this ID.
- sourceId / sourceName - indicators of how a customer entered the database, used for searching and filtering the customer base.
- cacValue - Customer Acquisition Value in string format. The default value from the registered source is used if not provided.
- cacCurrency - Customer Acquisition Currency (EUR or USD) in uppercase Latin letters. No numbers or symbols are allowed.
- Additional variables - custom fields created for the specific Contact List, used for segmentation and other features.
