Email templates

This article describes several ways to create, update, and manage email templates. Each template-creation method includes a preview option to verify the appearance before dispatch. Detailed information about this feature is available here.

Things to know before starting

  • Contact variables, such as {{firstName}}, enable automatic substitution of corresponding values from the Contact List.
  • A full list of system variables is available via the following link.
  • Important! Template creation and management are unavailable until a domain is added and verified within the account.
  • Access to templates depends on the assigned user role; not all roles grant permission to create or edit them. More details are available in the dedicated article.
  • Global variables and emojis are supported in the template subject line.

Step-by-step instructions

  • Navigate to the "Content" section.

  • Click the "Templates" button.

  • Click the "Create" button.

  • Select "Email" as the channel.

  • Choose a creation method.

  • Edit and save the template.

Drag & drop editor

This section describes the Drag & Drop editor features and general usage. The editor uses standard mouse controls: holding the left mouse button on a block transfers it to the workspace.

The drag-and-drop editor includes blocks for Header, Logo, Image, Footer, and HTML, among others, to build templates for any task.

Hovering over or clicking a block provides access to additional features: move, duplicate, delete, and modify style or content.

Email template creation

The upper-left side contains functions for switching between the block list, content, and selected block styles. The style section lets change the style for the whole frame or a specific block using a toggle button. Undo, redo, and preview features are also available; more details are available here.

The upper-right side includes functions for saving, updating the template name and subject, testing, downloading, and returning to the main page.

Own HTML

This section describes several methods for creating HTML templates.

  • HTML Code - manual creation via HTML editor by pasting email code directly into the interface.

  • HTML File - template creation by uploading a file containing email HTML code.

  • Link to HTML file - template import via an external URL.

Important! When creating an HTML template, it is important to understand which CSS rules and other elements are supported by different email clients, as some may not support them. To verify this, a service like this can be used.

Rich text editor

This option is primarily intended for simple text-based emails, though basic image insertion and text styling remain available. Using ribbon elements is recommended for creating the message body. The ribbon consists of command tabs providing tools for common formatting tasks. Plain text is often preferred for several technical reasons:

  • Spam filter optimization: many filters prioritize emails that include a plain-text alternative.

  • Compatibility: certain email clients and applications lack full HTML support.

  • User preference: a significant portion of recipients prefer minimalist, text-only communication.

Stripo Templates

Working with Stripo templates requires prior integration between the Stripo platform and Wooxy. Detailed instructions are available in the dedicated article. The Stripo Templates List provides tools to manage synced content, allowing sorting by name and tracking unique Email IDs.

  • Management options in Stripo list
    Icon caret
    • Edit - redirects to the Stripo platform for content modification.
    • Export - transfers the selected template to the Wooxy account.
    • Update - refreshes the template code after verifying Twig rules (similar to the "Own HTML" editor requirements).
    • Preview - opens the Stripo preview page to check device responsiveness (requires a paid Stripo account).
    • Identification - all imported templates are labeled with a "Stripo" tag for easy filtering.
