Codex CLI

Connect Wooxy to Codex CLI via MCP. Generate templates, manage campaigns, and pull analytics from the terminal coding workflow with natural language.

Connect Wooxy's marketing toolset to Codex CLI to run campaigns, generate templates, and query analytics directly from the terminal. Once configured, Codex can handle these tasks through natural-language prompts without leaving the development workflow.

Prerequisites

  • Codex CLI installed, signed in with a ChatGPT account that has Codex access.

  • A Wooxy account.

MCP Server connection

Run the following command in the terminal (not inside a Codex session).

codex mcp add wooxy --url https://mcp.wooxy.com/mcp

Alternative: config edit

The server can also be added by editing ~/.codex/config.toml directly.

JSON
                [mcp_servers.wooxy]
url = "https://mcp.wooxy.com/mcp"

Restart Codex after editing the config file.

Authentication

Run the following command and follow the browser-based OAuth flow to authorize access.

codex mcp login wooxy

Verifying the Connection

After setup, confirm the server is active.

codex mcp list

Or from inside a Codex session.

/mcp

Wooxy should appear listed with a connected status.

Usage

After authenticating, restart Codex so it loads the Wooxy tools. Codex may not pick up the Wooxy tools on its own, so make the first call explicit.

Use the Wooxy MCP server: call its context__get tool.

This loads your Wooxy account context. After that, prompt Codex with a marketing task.

Generate an email template announcing our product launch using Wooxy.

Codex calls the Wooxy toolset to handle brand resolution, template generation, or campaign/analytics requests. Generated templates and reports are also accessible from the corresponding sections of the Wooxy dashboard.

If you use the ChatGPT desktop app, Wooxy is available in its Codex view automatically, since the app shares the Codex CLI configuration and sign-in. Restart the app if the server doesn't appear.
