Contact list management

This article explains what features are available and how to use them to manage contact lists on the “Lists” page and within specific lists.

Things to know before starting

  • A subscribed contact is an individual who has consented to receive updates, advertising, and news through a specific channel.
  • Subscribers can be added to the list via file import, manual entry, the API, or through integrations with other platforms available in Wooxy.
  • Each subscribed contact is identified by a "Subscribed" badge in the Contact List's contact column.
  • An unlimited number of custom variables can be added to each contact to store relevant data.
  • Organized customer data enables the use of Wooxy personalization and automation tools for 1-to-1 conversations, timely messaging, and product recommendations.
  • Centralizing contact data in one place enables efficient use of Wooxy segmentation tools to identify and target specific audiences.

Step-by-step instructions

  • Select the appropriate domain from the drop-down menu in the lower-left corner if multiple domains are active.

  • Navigate to the "Audience" section.

  • Click the "Lists" button.

  • The Contact List name is clickable. Click the name to open the specific list.

  • Management on the “Lists” page

    • Sorting of Contact Lists by name for easier navigation.
    • Searching for specific Contact Lists using a name or unique ID.
    • The "List name" column displays all existing Contact Lists within the account.
    • The "Contacts" column provides the total number of contacts for each individual list.
    • The “Analyze contact list” action initiates an AMI operation to analyze the contact list and provide a comprehensive description along with expert recommendations.
    • The "Analytics" button provides access to detailed performance metrics and key indicators for the Default Contact List.
    • The "Add contacts" button redirects to the import page, which offers options for manual entry, file upload, service integration, or API.
    • The "Info" section displays the list name, ID, creation date, and associated tags.
    • The "Edit" option in the "More" menu allows modify list settings and manage custom variables.
    • The "View segments" option displays all segments created for a particular Contact List.
    • The "Export contacts" feature generates a .CSV file, available for download in the Import/Export section.
    • Tag management facilitates organizing analytics reports and tracking different mailings within the same list.
    • The "Delete" option permanently removes unwanted Contact Lists, except the Default Contact List, which cannot be deleted.
  • Management in the specific list

    • Contact search - a search field above the list enables finding specific contacts using identifiers such as userId, email, or phone number.
    • Identifier placement - contact identifiers (userId, email, and phone number) are located on the left side of the table for quick reference.
    • Profile access - contact names are clickable, linking to a detailed profile page (available exclusively for contacts in the Default Contact List).
    • Channel status - subscription and unsubscribe statuses for all active channels are displayed alongside contact identifiers.
    • Column customization - column widths can be adjusted by dragging, and headers include options to pin/unpin (identifiers only), hide columns, or copy variable names.
    • Filtering bar - a filtering tool (exclusive to the Default Contact List) allows grouping contacts by specific conditions to create segments or send one-time campaigns.
    • Filter actions - additional options (exclusive to the Default Contact List) in the filter menu allows save results as a new Segment or launching a disposable Campaign without saving a segment.
    • Bulk action bar - selecting a checkbox next to a contact opens an action bar to change status, manage subscriptions, or update variable values for multiple contacts.
    • Subscription management = manual subscription to Web Push, Telegram, or Viber is only possible if the contact has previously subscribed to those channels.
    • Contact deletion - contacts can be permanently removed from a list. For batches larger than 50, a pop-up allows specifying the exact number to remove.
    • Add contacts - redirect to the import page, where contacts can be added manually, via file upload, or from other services; include an option to delete contacts by importing a file.
    • Manage List - access the Contact List settings and the "Custom variables" tab to remove existing custom variables.
    • Add variable - creation of new custom variables (String or DateTime) restricted to Latin letters, numbers, and underscores (max 50 characters, cannot start with a number).
    • Display settings - manage the visibility of metrics and columns in the Contact List view.
    • Analytics - access to detailed performance reports and audience parameters for the Default Contact List.
    • Export contacts - generation of a .CSV file with contact details, available for download in the Activity Log.
